Atlanta every day is an opening day

A Day in Awesome Dawson County

10:00 am: Arrive at Kangaroo Conservation Center; tour grounds and presentation area, see and learn about kangaroos and their living patterns, as well as see several other species of exotic animals and birds.

Noon: Choose from the Gold Creek Resort, an elegant restaurant overlooking the lake and golf course, or Amicalola Falls Lodge at the top of the falls with a stunning mountain view.

1:30 pm: Do some shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlets on Georgia 400. Find the nation's most prominent brands of clothing, furnishing and gift items.

5:00 pm: Depart Dawson County

If the Kangaroo Conservation Center is unavailable at the time of your visit, there are several options: Visit the Amicalola Falls State Park; or contact Forrest Hills Mountain Resort to arrange a horse-drawn wagon ride.
